LAHORE, Nov 18: Pakistan could be saved only through jihad and not by towing the line of the US, speakers at a meeting said on Sunday.

The meeting was organized by the Pak-Afghan Defence Council at Markaz-i-Ahle Hadith, Lawrence Road.

Markaz Dawa Wal Irshad’s Foreign Affairs Head Prof Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki said all policies of the government had failed.

He said the forces of America and its allies had been trapped in Afghanistan. Soon these forces would fight against the Northern Alliance. The nation must unitedly press the government to change its policy towards Afghanistan, he said.

According to him, America was planning to take over Pakistan in league with India and Northern Alliance.

Prof Makki said all scientists of the country, including nuclear technology experts and science teachers, were on the hit list of America.

He said the government was stopping Afghans from entering Pakistan. This was a conspiracy to make Muslims fight against one another and to allow India to intimidate Pakistan with the help of Russia and Northern Alliance.

Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith’s Haji Abdur Razzaq said America and all other anti-Islam forces will fail if Muslims started following the teachings of Islam in letter and spirit.
