LAHORE: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said that Nato supply had not yet been restored and only shipments of books for the Afghan children had been released on the request of Afghan President.
Speaking to the media representatives after attending second session of the three-day fourth annual Nazria Pakistan Conference, she said the issues of Nato supply and drone attacks would be resolved according to the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee, which was formed to review ties with United States.
The minister said that the date for holding next general elections will only be announced after the budget and after consulting all political parties.
To a question about drone attacks, she said that innocent people, more than al Qaeda leaders, were being killed in the attacks and terrorism was being promoted as a result of such attacks.
She said that drone attacks might be helpful for the coalition forces but they were damaging Pakistan and war on terrorism.
