LAHORE: India handed over five prisoners, who had mistakenly crossed the border, to Pakistani Rangers' officials at Wagah border on Friday, DawnNews reported.

According to the officials, three belonged to Sindh while two were from Punjab.

Three of the released detainees had already completed their sentences while the trials of two others were in process in Indian courts.

These prisoners were released under a prisoner-release agreement signed by the two countries.
