Missing persons case: SC cross at AG over lack of preparation

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday showed its displeasure to the attorney general for not preparing for the missing persons case and adjourned the hearing until tomorrow, DawnNews reported.

A three-judge bench, headed by Justice Shakirullah Jan, heard the case.

During the hearing, Justice Jawad S. Khwaja remarked that apathy had become the norm, adding that we should have some sensitivity towards the plight of the families of the missing persons.

Moreover, a Baitul Maal official told the bench that compensation for the family of a missing person had been raised to 60,000 rupees per annum.
