PESHAWAR, Nov 28: A prisoner escaped from the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where he was admitted for medical treatment, here on Wednesday night.

The on-duty constable, Rahim Khan, claimed that on Wednesday night the prisoner told him that he had severe stomach pain. “I along with Ghaffar Ali went outside the hospital with the intention to purchase some medicine,” the constable added.

When they reached on the main road, all of sudden a car stopped and dragged both of them in the car, Rahim Khan said and added that later on, he was dropped from the car near Hayatabad township.

The sub-inspector suspected that the prisoner in connivance with the cop planned to escape from the hospital. Police have suspended Rahim Khan.
