JOHANNESBURG: Hashim Amla, the leading run-scorer in the series, will miss South Africa's remaining three one-day internationals against Sri Lanka, while Test fast bowling discovery Vernon Philander has been called into the squad.

There are three changes in the 14-man squad for the rest of the series, starting with a match in Bloemfontein Tuesday.

Amla is unavailable because his wife is expecting the couple's first child, all-rounder Jacques Kallis is being rested, while uncapped fast bowler Rory Kleinveldt had previously withdrawn because of injury.

The replacements are opening batsman Alviro Petersen, who made a century in the final Test against Sri Lanka, middle-order batsman Colin Ingram and Philander, who took 30 wickets at an average of 13.23 in his first four Tests, against Australia and Sri Lanka, this season.

Squad: AB de Villiers (capt, wkt), Johan Botha, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Colin Ingram, Albie Morkel, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Alviro Petersen, Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
