MIRPURKHAS, Nov 27: The Pakistan Medical Association and Paramedical Staff Association held demonstrations in Tando Jan Mohammad, Digri, and Jhuddo on Wednesday to protest against the kidnapping of Dr Haji Mohammad Memon, medical superintendent, Jhuddo, and another employee, Kamil.
The medical staff, who were led by Mir Mohammad Khaskheli and Mumtaz Arain, held protest demonstrations at Tando Jan Mohammad demanding the early recovery of the hostages.
They wore black-arm bands and raised slogans against the failure of the police to have the kidnapped persons recovered.
JHUDDO: In Jhuddo, doctors and paramedical staff of the government hospital took out a protest rally wearing black-arm bands. They marched through the main roads and hoisted black flags on the top of the Jhuddo hospital building.
DIGRI: The doctors and paramedical staff of the government hospital Digri held a protest demonstration in Digri town.
The protesting health employees vowed to continue their protest till the recovery of the kidnapped doctor.
POLICE CONDEMNED: The general secretary, Pakistan Medical Association, Mirpurkhas, Dr Ghazi Khan Mari, and the president, Paramedical Staff Association, Mirpurkhas district, Ghulam Rasool Jalbani, have condemned the failure of the police to recover the doctor and another staff member.
Talking to newsmen on Wednesday, they demanded of the chief secretary and the IG, police, Sindh, to ensure the immediate recovery of the kidnapped employees of the health department.
CRIME CONTROL: The president, Crime Control and Social Welfare Association, Khan Mohammad Panhwar, and its vice president, Mohammad Hashim Shar, have called upon the governor, home secretary, and the IG, police, Sindh, to ensure the immediate recovery of six people from the captivity of dacoits.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, they criticized the policies of the DPO, Mirpurkhas, due to which the crime rate was rising in the district.
