Militants kill three policemen near Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Militants attacked a police post on the outskirts of the city of Peshawar, capital of the northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, killing three policemen and wounding six, Peshawar police chief Imtiaz Altaf said.

The post is located close to the Khyber tribal region, near the Afghanistan border, where Pakistani forces are battling militant groups.
