TAXILA, Jan 10: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Akhtar Abbass on Tuesday dismissed SHO, Hassanabdal police station for taking bribe during investigation of a case.

Police sources said that Inspector Mehdi Khan was found guilty during an inquiry conducted by Regional Police Officer (RPO) for taking Rs50,000 bribe.

Resultantly, he was sacked in the light of Police order.
