PESHAWAR, Nov 23: Drugs were being sold to students at the university campus allegedly under the patronage of some influential people.

According to details the students, living in hostels, are being supplied drugs, especially hashish (charas) without any fear of police.

One such supplier is a gatekeeper of the Khyber Teaching Hospital.

When newsmen contacted the administrative officer of the hospital, Dr Farman, he said that he knew about the bad business and had received complaint against the gatekeeper, but he added; “I am helpless until I am given some solid proof”.

Dr Farman ordered the transfer of the said gatekeeper from evening to morning shift as 9-10pm was said to be prime time for the sale of drugs.—PPI
