KARACHI, Dec 12: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has allowed customs agents to renew their licence in line with the previous procedure and proposed amendments for a new system will be withdrawn.

This was decided in Islamabad during a meeting between FBR and Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) officials on Monday.

The association appreciated the FBR for issuing SRO1063(I)/2011 as it would go a long way in resolving the issue because related amendments in licencing rules was being agitated by the KCAA members.

KCCA President Saif Ullah Khan also appraised the member customs about the newly-launched the automated clearance system, WeBoc, at Port Qasim. He said that due administrative issues in the system export and import shipments were delayed.
