RAWALPINDI: Majalis-i-Iza will be held in Imambargahs and processions consisting of Zuljinnah and Alm-o-Taazia will be taken out.
The main Ashura procession in Rawalpindi will be taken out from Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain on College Road which will be joined by a procession coming from Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, Bohar Bazaar.
Majalis-i-Aza will be held at these imambargah and Imambargah Ashiq Hussain, Teli Mohallah where sermons will be given highlighting the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), his companions and family members in Karbala.
The natives of Gilgit-Baltistan living in Rawalpindi will take out a procession from Imambargah Baltistan, near Banni Chowk.
The mid-day prayers organised by the Imamia Organsiation will be held near Fowara Chowk. The participants (mourners) of the processions will carry out flagellation.
Rescue workers will remain on high alert with 14 fully equipped emergency ambulances, 12 fire vehicles and 10 rescue mobile posts that will move along with the processions. — A Reporter
