ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, prorogued the session of the National Assembly after the completion of the election process of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House.

During the election of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Illahi Bakhash Soomro presided over the session and administered oath to the newly-elected Speaker, Chaudhry Amir Hussain.

The Speaker read out the prorogation order of President Gen Pervez Musharraf.—APP
