KARACHI, Nov 21: Five ships carrying steel, containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships, including a car carrier Patriot and four oil-tankers, bulk cargo carrier UBC Cyprus and container vessels, AL-Ihsaa, Lindvia, OEL Shryas and Wan Hai-602 were berthed after the departure of a dozen during the last two days.

The ships, which departed were led by Chemroad Fuji, Emirates Wasi, King Success, Patriot, YM Fuzhou, APL Guangzhou, Conti Brisbane, Chemroad Quest, MT Quetta, Bon Vent, APL Shenzhen and Lara Rickmers, while DL Clover, Lindavia and Al-Ihsaa are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.218m tons, comprising 91,246 tons of export cargo and 0.127m tons of import tonnage, was handled during the last two day.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Queen Arrow-1, to load 10,000 tons of cement, Ponete, with steel cargo, Parmisand APL Cyprine, with containers and MT Lahore, with crude oil.
