LAHORE, Nov 9: Some 500 or so pilgrims will be returning home through the first flight from Jeddah scheduled to arrive here on Thursday at 6am.

Another batch of Hujjaj will be reaching Lahore through flight PK-2304 on Friday at 12:10pm, an official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Wednesday.

More than 20,000 pilgrims would reach Lahore through 43 flights during the post-Haj operation concluding on Dec 10, said the official.

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance has started distributing among pilgrims returning home copies of the Holy Quran and religious books as gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Some 1,420,000 copies of the Holy Quran with its translation and 7,500,000 copies of religious guidance books would be distributed to pilgrims at 13 exit points in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for the Relief of Pakistani People started distributing sacrificial meat to 2,000 families affected by floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces of Pakistan.

The distribution process was being supervised by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer.
