HYDERABAD, Nov 1: A shortage of water in Kotri's Site area is not only affecting industrial production but also hurting export orders says a letter sent by the Kotri Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) to provincial minister of industries and commerce.

The Site is the second largest industrial zone in the province and a major foreign exchange earner. There are 150 industrial units in the area where thousands of employees are living with their families. The non-availability and uncertain supply of water was affecting export earnings, it stated.

It is learnt that the Site management has defaulted on payment of water bills, resulting in disconnection of supply by Wasa.
