KARACHI: Pakistan will play their first Group C match against Uzbekistan on 31st October in the AFC U-19 Football Championship Qualifiers in Tehran, Iran.

Pakistan is placed in Group C along with arch-rivals India, Uzbekistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. Iran is hosting all Group C matches.

Pakistan will play their second match against Turkmenistan on 2nd November. They will face hosts Iran on 6th November and finally face traditional rivals India on 8th November.

Thirty-nine teams have been divided into two zones and separated in seven groups of six or five teams each. Each group will play one round at a centralised venue and top two teams from each group will qualify for the tournament.

Third best teams from each West and East zones will complete the 16-team line up of the 2012 finals.

Group A: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives

Group B: Bahrain, Jordan, Tajikistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bhutan

Group C: Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan

Group D: UAE, Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon

Group E: Korea Republic, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Guam, Chinese Taipei

Group F: DPR Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos

Group G: Australia, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Macau
