CJ AJK shot and wounded in Muzaffarabad
Ghulam Mustafa Mughal was taking an evening walk at a university recreation ground when someone lurking in the bushes shot him once in the abdomen in the city, 120 kilometres (75 miles) northeast of the capital Islamabad. “He was on his evening walk on the university campus. Someone hiding in the bushes opened fire on him. He received one bullet in his abdomen,” police official Riaz Abbasi told AFP by telephone. Mughal was rushed to a military hospital in Muzaffarabad, where doctors said he was conscious and would be operated upon. Police said the motive for the attack was unclear. “At the moment, we cannot say whether it's terrorism or some type of enmity. We have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation,” said Abbasi.
ISLAMABAD: The top judge in Pakistani-administered Kashmir was shot Tuesday while walking in the autonomous region's capital of Muzaffarabad and rushed to hospital with a gunshot injury, police said.
