ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday reaffirmed commitment to the principles and ideals enshrined in the United Nations' Charter.

“Pakistan renews its pledge to continue to play an active role for the realization of the vision of a peaceful and stable world which the UN symbolizes,” a Foreign Office statement said on the 66th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.

Pakistan joins 193 member states of the United Nations in reiterating the importance and validity of this global forum and in paying homage to its role over decades in promoting world peace, stability and prosperity, the FO said.
