England bat against India in fourth one-dayer

MUMBAI: England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth one-day international against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

India, enjoying a decisive 3-0 lead in the five-match series, brought in uncapped 21-year-old fast bowler Varun Aaron in place of the injured Umesh Yadav.

The tourists, hoping to finish the last two games on a high, turned to two rookies, leg-spinner Scott Borthwick, 21, and 22-year-old fast bowler Stuart Meaker.

They replace off-spinner Graeme Swann and seamer Jade Dernbach.

India return to the Wankhede Stadium for the first time since winning the World Cup final against Sri Lanka in April.

England: Alastair Cook (capt), Craig Kieswetter, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Bairstow, Ravi Bopara, Samit Patel, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Meaker, Steven Finn, Scott Borthwick.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Gautam Gambhir, Parthiv Patel, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Varun Aaron, Vinay Kumar, Praveen Kumar.
