No split in party, says Babar

ISLAMABAD, Nov 13: The People’s Party Parliamentarians on Wednesday debunked reports of a split in the party and termed them motivated by vested interests.

Farhatullah Babar, a PPP spokesman, said in a statement that the reports of the forward bloc and split in the party were inspired and motivated by vested interests to confuse the workers. He said: “PPP has always been and will remain united. There is no question of any forward bloc.”

“The postponement of the National Assembly-elect session, the manner in which Makhdoom Amin Fahim’s remarks about the lack of consensus prior to the assembly session were exploited by the PTV and APP to drive a wedge between the ARD parties, and the reports of the so-called split in the party ranks are linked. Some elements are hell-bent on breaking and discrediting the PPP,” he claimed.
