MIANWALI, Nov 13: Two young brothers were shot dead by a contractor and his son at Yarookhel Kutcha on Wednesday.

Police said that Shafaullah, 22, and Inayatullah, 24, used to earn livelihood by cutting and selling kelp and reed from the belt of river Indus.

Contractor Adam Khan alias Dama and his son Azam Khan exchanged hot words with the youths for cutting kelp and reed. Later they opened fire, killing Inayatullah on the spot. Shafaullah scummed to his injuries at the District Headquarters Hospital.

Police sent the bodies for post mortem after registering a case against the two accused.

Adam had been involved in many murder cases.
