PESHAWAR, Oct 17: Peshawar police seized heavy cache of arms and ammunition and arrested two alleged arms smugglers on Monday.
A spokesman said police impounded a car (D2552-Abbottabad) at a check point at Chamkani on the main GT Road and recovered four Kalashnikovs, 10 repeaters, four machine guns and 4,500 cartridges of different kinds from its secret cavities.
The alleged arms smugglers identified as Ghulam Mustafa of Dera Ismail Khan and Shad Mohammad of Matani were arrested. The weapons brought from tribal regions were destined for Punjab.
