PESHAWAR: The activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N District Peshawar Wednesday held protest demonstration against prolonged electricity outage and condemned the indifference of the government towards the sufferings of the people.

The demonstrators were carrying banners and party flags inscribed with demands for end of energy crisis and control of electricity.

The demonstrators burnt tyres and raised slogans against the government.

Abdul Satar Khan Khalil, president of PML-N district Peshawar and Waqif Khan, general secretary had led the protesting demonstrators.

Talking to reporters they said life due inflation, terrorism and unemployment had become hard for the people and now every thing has come to standstill due to continues load shedding for almost 18- hours.

The Awami National Party (ANP), they said had promised they would provide 200 electricity units free to the people but now they pushed the people to the dark ages where people are compelled to use Laltain for the light.
