PML-N to participate in All Parties Conference

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-N will participate in the All Parties Conference (APC) called by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani after the allegations from US, DawnNews reported on Tuesday.

The decision took place in a closed-door three hour meeting of the PML-N leaders held at Raiwind.

In a media briefing after the meeting, the secretary information of PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan said that if the government had acted according to the Parliament’s resolutions, the country would not be facing this crisis today.

Khan said that his party had severe reservations against the bad governance and corruption of the government but thought it was necessary to take part in the APC which would address an issue the whole country was facing together.

Senior leader of PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal said that a loss of Rs.1,000 billion has been incurred due to the government’s corruption.

Iqbal said that Hina Rabbani Khar lacks the experience a foreign minister needs and if the country had a competent foreign minister, the situation today would have been very different.

Responding to a question about the US threats, Iqbal said that the Army will devise the strategy regarding defense and PML-N will fully endorse whatever is proposed.
