DUBAI, Nov 15: Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, and most fellow Gulf Arab states will mark the start of Ramazan on Friday, regional agencies said on Thursday.

Top ulema in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar said the crescent moon had been sighted after nightfall heralding the start of the lunar month, the agencies said.—Reuters
