School blown up in northwest Pakistan

PESHAWAR: Unidentified attackers blew up a school here at Sher Din Banda in the wee hours on Monday.

According to police station Zaida, unidentified miscreants planted explosive material in ghee tins inside a girls’ school here at Sher Din Banda in the limits of Zaida Police Station that went off in the wee hours.

As a result, the school’s building was partially destroyed. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Soon after the incident, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
