TAXILA, Aug 18: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has given deadline of two weeks to the private hospitals and health institutions to raise the young doctors’ salaries at par with those working in the hospitals of the provincial governments.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the YDA office-bearers including District Co-coordinator Rawalpindi Dr Imran Younas, General Secretary (rural) Dr Ghulam Abbass and others said if their demand was not fulfilled, the YDA would issue a white paper against the private medical colleges and health institutions.

They said that the owners of the private hospitals, medical colleges and health institutions were not ready to raise the salaries of the young doctors and using delaying tactics in this regard. — Correspondent
