LAHORE, Nov 5: Federal Minister for Information and Media Development, Nisar A. Memon, has termed the country’s foreign policy most successful.
Speaking at a function organized by an NGO here on Tuesday evening, the said that because of the policies pursued by the present government, the country was no longer a failed state.
The minister said Pakistan had also being successful in its defence and economic policies. He said owing to a vibrant foreign policy, India had been forced to withdraw her troops from Pakistan border.
“Pakistan has now come out of the darkness and has witnessed revival of economy and other fields as well,” he said.
He said the divided mandate from the October 10 general election has been accepted because in democracy “you have to accept whatever the results are.”
The minister said that during the last three years, the print, electronic and state-run media were given complete freedom to write about the views of the opposition.—APP
