LAHORE, Nov 5: Liaquat Baloch has urged the government to withdraw board of governors and the Model University Ordinance from educational institutions and hospitals and left the issues for the new civil government to decide.

Addressing a reception for the students admitted to the first-year class at the Government College of Science, Wahdat Road, on Tuesday, he said the military government had inflicted an irreparable loss on health and education sectors.

The MNA-elect said the interim period of the present regime had been finished and it should stop introducing new laws.

He said his party would raise the BoG and MUO issues in the parliament for its resolution according to the wishes of teachers, students and doctors.

Later talking to reporters, he alleged that the government was using state machinery to form a government which could help achieve the US agenda in the country. — Reporter
