GUJRANWALA, No 5: The Qila Dedar Singh Government Intermediate Girls College has been upgraded by the Punjab government. The education authorities have meanwhile allowed the college administration to start admissions to degree classes instantly.

PROTEST: The Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association (PPLA) and various organizations of teachers and students, under the banner of Joint Action Committee, continued their protest against the constitution of boards of governors.

The students boycotted their classes and assembled at the Government Islamia College on Gondlanwala Road.
