ISLAMABAD: Security officials have arrested a militant from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after conduction a search operation in the nation's capital.

According to sources TTP commander Raheemur Rehman was arrested in the Thana Koral area of Islamabad, where he had a short machine gun in his possession.

Raheemur-Rehman was associated with the Qari Ziaur Rehman group of the TTP. He has been taken to an undisclosed location for questioning.
