ANP rejects reinstatement of Local Govt System

KARACHI: The ANP has rejected the reinstatement of the Local Government System in Karachi and Hyderabad and has ordered its provincial minister Ameer Nawab to stop working.

ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said that the Commissionerate System Bill in the Sindh Assembly has been sacrificed due to political blackmailing.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said that his party strongly condemns the reinstatement of a dictator's black law in two of Sindh's cities in such an undemocratic manner.

He said that rejection of the ANP's mandate has now become a political fashion. The ANP leader said that restoration of the system adds a dimension to the ethnic politics in Karachi and Hyderabad.

Shahi Syed called for the immediate revocation of the ordinance.He also said that due to the un-democratic manner in which the PPP has been conducting, the ANP has decided to tell its Provincial Minister for Labor Ameer Nawab Khan to suspend his duties.
