RIYADH, July 30: The holy month of Ramazan would begin on Monday in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates, it was officially announced in the six countries.

Saudi state television Al Ekhbariya said that the sighting of the new moon could not be confirmed by the authorities and Ramazan would begin in the kingdom on Monday.—AFP
