SIALKOT, July 19: Francis Campbell, Director UK Trade and Investment-Pakistan and British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi said that the UK was committed to work with Pakistan for promoting trade.Addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Tuesday he stressed upon the need of joint initiatives to boost mutual trade between Pakistan and the UK.

He said there were many opportunities for joint industrial ventures in different fields.

Mr Campbell said UK was making efforts to ensure the easy and direct access of Pakistani business community to the British market.

In this regard UK has invited businessmen to participate in trade exhibitions in the UK.

“The UK government sees better economic outlook in Pakistan and encourages its companies to make investment here”, he said, and added that a good number of UK companies were keen to invest in Pakistan in different sectors.

He visited several industrial units in Sialkot.
