Homework is a task assigned to students by school teachers that are meant to be carried out during non-school hours.

Undoubtedly, it plays a significant role in educational development of students. Summer- vacation homework helps the studentsretain the things that they were learning in school and make them prepare for the upcoming year.

Summer-vacations homework, in fact, maintains the academic skills of students. It is better not to waste vacation in watching TV or playing games. Summer homework is neither a burden to students nor unfair to them. It seems to be a huge amount of homework but later becomes a manageable amount of work. What students have to do is to break it down into smaller sections to make it more manageable. By doing it a little bit each day students will be able to complete all the assignments well before the vacation ends.

Even though students don't like the idea of homework during summer vacation but by breaking it down into smaller segments it can become something that they know they can finish before the opening of school.

Homework is a motivational tool that shouldn’t be ignored or used as punishment. Using it in this way can make it boring to the students. Homework should be collected by teachers and should also give them instructional feedback.
