LAHORE, Oct 29: Amendment to the floor-crossing law will lead to a turmoil, says Pakistan Awami Tehrik chief and MNA-elect Dr Tahirul Qadri.

The steps being taken by the army government had made it clear that it was bent upon ensuring the king’s party a majority in parliament, he told a group of reporters here on Tuesday.

By removing the ban on floor-crossing, the parliament would become a base for corruption from the very first day, he said, adding making laws and amending them was the job of parliament and the government must desist from law-making through ordinances.

The delay in convening the maiden session of the National Assembly was a proof of the horse-trading taking place with the aim of giving the PML-Q ample time to win the support of the maximum MPs for forming government in the centre, he said.
