SHIKARPUR, Nov 14: Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, coordinator and member of standing committee of Sindh Democratic Alliance (SDA), has said that the people were politically aware so they wanted to get their grievances redressed from the political platform.
They had ever supported to various political parties’ leaders in elections but, he regretted the elected representatives failed to provide basic amenities to the people and resolve their problems.
While talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said to address this core issue an alliance comprising well-known and democratic minded independent and leaders was found.
He said that in the near future the manifesto of SDA and the it’s taluka committees would be announced to run the day-to-day affairs of the alliance.
Replying to a question, he said that the seat-to-seat adjustment could be worked out with all other political parties including PPP in the next general elections.
About the law and order situation in district Shikarpur, Mr Shaikh expressed his satisfaction and lauded the security measures for general people by the administration.
JATOI: NPP Sindh president, Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Jatoi has said that the people of Sindh were facing many problems, but shortage of water development funds and were two core problems of the province.
He was talking to newsmen here on Tuesday evening. He demanded early provision of development funds, judicious sharing of water to Sindh, and fixation of support price of agriculture produce in general and for paddy in particular.
Dr Jatoi expressed his sympathies with innocent Afghan people victimised by the US bombings, but opposed the settlement of Afghanis in Sindh or any other parts of the country.
