NAWABSHAH, Nov 14: Members of the Awam Dost Panel have condemned the undemocratic and mischievous attitude of the Awami Ittehad and its allies during the running session of taluka council, Nawabshah.
Talking to newsmen at a press conference here on Wednesday, Ali Akbar Jamali, taluka Nazim Nawabshah, Saleem Raza Jalbani, member Zila council, Khudadad Durrani, Haji Riaz Hussain Zardari, Shahnawaz Chandio and others maintained that from the very first day they have been trying their best to run the affairs of the district in cooperation with the Awami Ittehad members but they always opposed and criticized Ms Faryal for nothing. Boycotts and disturbances have become the routine of Awami Ittehad.
They said that even after having a clear majority of ten members in taluka council, they were extending maximum cooperation to the members of Awami Ittehad just for the betterment of Nawabshah.
They further said that even after having a clear majority in taluka council, out of three, one unopposed presiding officer of Awami Ittehad was chosen and this was the first bold step and gesture towards the forward block.
Two unopposed chairman of each committee i.e. health and sports were chosen and one member was also taken each on committee.
Ali Akbar Jamali said: “we feel sorry that instead of cooperating and helping us, they disrupted the atmosphere of the session on the day when committees were formed”.
They said that Abdul Sattar Qureshi attacked Mr Lashari when he was requested to stop smoking and using cordless telephone, the opposition members became rash and started a hue and cry.
They said that they could have taken legal action against him but they ignored it as a gesture of goodwill .
