RAWALPINDI, Oct 27: A youngman was stabbed to death by his rival in Asghar Mall Scheme late Saturday night.
Shahid Butt, the father of the victim, told Banni police that his son, Mudassar Butt, was stabbed by his rival Rehmat Ali as a result of which he died on the spot. The alleged killer escaped from the scene, the police said.
ROBBERY: Over Rs1.2 million in cash and gold ornaments were looted in two robberies in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Sunday.
According to the police, the first incident took place in the Industrial area in which a cashier of a vegetable oil mill was robbed of Rs1.2 million by two motorcycle riders.
Mohammad Ramzan, the robbery victim, told the I-9 police that he was on his way to the mill with the cash when two motorcycle riders intercepted his car and held him at gunpoint.
“One of the robbers was wearing a helmet while another was masked. They snatched Rs1.2 million and escaped on their motorbike,” he said.
In another incident, four robbers barged into a house of the in-laws of a journalist in Satellite Town on Sunday night and escaped with cash and gold ornaments, the police said.
Zulfiqar Ali told New Town police that four men walked into his house a few moments after the housemaid left on Sunday night.
He said the robbers, wearing masks, held his grandson Mohsin, a 6th class student, at knife-point and demanded the boy’s mother to hand over cash and gold ornaments.
