ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Pakistani tennis star Aisam ul-Haq on winning the doubles event of the Gerry Webber Open in Halle, Germany on Sunday.

In a message, the President said the Pakistani nation is proud of the achievement of Aisam-ul-Haq and wanted him to bring more laurels for the country.

“Players like Aisam are a source of inspiration for youth,” he said.

The President assured of the government's full support towards talented players performing well in the international tournaments.

Earlier, Aisam-ul-Haq along with his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna defeated Duch Robin Haase and Canadian Milos Raonic in the final.
