ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday that during the budget speech of the Federal Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, the attitude of the opposition was uncivilized and labelling the parliamentarians as “robbers” was quite improper.

Talking to the State TV outside the Parliament House, Rehman Malik said that the Punjab Assembly was a part of the Federal Government and creating such uproar in the National Assembly was absolutely indecent.

Malik said that the budget was friendly and provided relief to the common man. He said a 15 per cent increase in salaries was allocated in the budget for government servants.

He said that the Supreme Court's order in the loan write-off case, and “constitution of a commission” were good developments for the country. He said the SC orders would help reveal who got the loans written off and amassed personal fortunes.
