DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 23: The district council met here on Tuesday to discuss the constitution of the public safety commission. Paharpur Union Council Nazim Haji Amanullah Khan was in the chair.

As the quorum was not complete, the only point on the agenda was postponed and the proceedings of the previous session were discussed. The House witnessed uproar when the Nazim of Chowdhwan Union Council, Haji Abdus Sattar Babar, demanded details of development funds utilized by the district government.

He alleged that the District Nazim was involved in the embezzlement of those funds. He demanded that a committee should be set up to collect details in the matter and submit its report in the next session.
