PESHAWAR, Oct 23: Pakis-tan, Afghanistan and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees have agreed on a joint framework for the voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan after a nine-month long discussion.

A press release issued here on Wednesday said that during a two-day meeting held in Kabul that was attended by senior officials of the two countries and representatives of the UN refugee agency agreed on all details of the tripartite agreement. The final draft of the agreement would be presented to the respective cabinets very soon.

Under the agreement the programme would help Afghan citizens residing in Pakistan who wanted to return.
