Blast injures two

PESHAWAR, May 24: Two real brothers were injured and their shop was blown up in a bomb blast at Gulshanabad area of Matani on the suburbs of Peshawar on Tuesday.

Sources said that unidentified persons planted an explosive device beneath a general store, owned by Khaista Gul. The bomb exploded when the owner opened the shop, they said.

Khaista Gul and his brother Saeed Gul were injured in the blast, they said. Both the injured brothers were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. A hospital source said that they were in stable condition.

An official of Matani police station said that suspected persons including Said Karim, Abdul Karim and Fazal Karim were taken into custody as they had some old enmity with the injured brothers.—Bureau Report
