PESHAWAR, Oct 18: Sarhad Conservation Network will meet on Saturday to discuss the threats confronting Gandhara art and historical monuments in the NWFP, a press release said.
A drive would be launched in the province for creating awareness about the archeological treasures, it said.
Public response to the campaign would be monitored and conveyed to the ambassador of Japan and UNESCO in the form of a petition, a copy of which would be sent to the government departments.
UBL OFFICERS: The All Pakistan United Bank Limited Officers Federation has called for the implementation of the new retirement policy in the bank.
According to a press release, the federation’s organising committee welcomed the pri-vatization policy and assured the new employer of its cooperation.
The committee, through a joint resolution, asked the new president of the bank to lift ban on the issuance of the loans to the bank employees.
The committee also proposed to the management to provide medical facilities to the employees’ parents, abolish additional interest on the staff-loans and payment of the interest on the provident fund.
