ISLAMABAD: Unsatisfied with the government replies Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Wednesday repeated that the House was not taken into confidence on power and gas load-shedding, recent increase in petroleum prices, release of US national Raymond Davis in a murder case, drone attacks and the visit of ISI chief Shuja Pasha to the USA.
He was of the view that the government was not owning national issues and rather trying to make the National Assembly into a debating club.
Ch. Nisar appreciated the prime minister's resolve to run the House in a democratic manner adding that nobody would interrupt the proceedings of the House if their queries were addressed properly in the National Assembly.
He assured that opposition would fully support measures for strengthening democracy but called upon the government to own national issues and give a time schedule for their resolution.
