It’s hard to remember the title of the play, for nowadays there are as many drama serials as there are mosquitoes in the southern district of Karachi. What remains in memory (rather painfully) is Angeline Malik’s terrible acting.
Angeline M is doing a play in which she portrays the character of a girl whose profession is not seen in a favourable light in society. In the play she’s supported by the veteran Samina Ahmed as her colleague. In one of the scenes Angeline M is seen semi-dancing to herself singing a song that sounded everything but a song. The way she playacted with Samina Ahmed, both looking into the mirror singing Chalte Chalte from the iconic film Pakeezah, looked more cartoonish than anything else. Angeline M should try her hand at animated films.
