RAWALPINDI: The bail application of former federal minister for Religious Affairs, Hamid Saeed Kazmi was rejected by the court on Thursday.

The bail application was presented before the Special Judge Central Rawalpindi, Muhammad Farooq Latif.

Khalid Nadeem Butt, FIA’s assistant director (legal) informed the court about Kazmi’s financial assets which were over Rs30 million while his monthly income was limited to only Rs 95,000.

It was emphasized that the bail should not be granted to Kazmi as the Hajj corruption case had brought a bad name to the country.

The court rejected the bail application after hearing arguments of both sides.
