GUJRANWALA, April 9: Armed men kidnapped a newlywed couple from a civil court here on Saturday.Muhammad Asif of Naushehra Virkan contracted love marriage with Farrukh of the same town and got registered their Nikah with the registrar of the area.
They were visiting the court of Civil Judge Hasan Abbas Syed to record their statement about their love marriage.They were waiting for their counsel in the compound of the court when at least 25 armed men, apparently relatives of the girl, reached there, bundled Asif and Farrukh into a vehicle and drove them away.
They were kidnapped before they recorded their statements to the judge.
